Profile: Sam Laxton

Sam Laxton is more than a dance producer and dj. In fact he is one of the few new EDM prodigy’s to grace the scene who can be called a phenomenon and is proving himself to be a worthy contender for best newcomer in the EDM scenes.

Sam Laxton has been the name on everybody’s lips lately. His tunes, which are being played the world over, have been featured on countless numbers of blogs including Dubstep.Net.

His latest work; a remix for Australian dance producer Shola, Shot up to number 1 on the dubstep.net weekly chart.

Melodic, aggressive and euphoric are keywords that define the sound you can expect when visiting one of his shows. His individual mix of Dubstep, Trance, Electro and Nu Rave sounds are pulling a plethora of fans from all corners of the globe. As a classically schooled artist, Sam also often goes on record for the love of writing his songs on a piano before transforming it into dance anthems.

With his deep bass drones and uplifting synth and piano work, Sam Laxton has carved himself a unique niche in the electronic scene.

A testimony to his sound reaching popular status has to be his remix work.
Remixing for fellow stars such as Lost Witness, a UK Trance act that has sold over 2 million records worldwide and remixes on the agenda for Al Storm and Euphony, Task Horizon and many more, which will be released by the top labels of our time, Sam Laxton is proving a force to be reckoned with.
